The Refuge de Frience is nestled in the Alpes Vaudoises between Villars and Gryon.
Situated on a panoramic plateau in the heart of Alpes des Chaux, only a few minutes from Villars and the centre of Gryon, the Refuge de Frience has been an institution for over 50 years. It has always been a favourite for families, hikers and visitors wishing to relax or enjoy a meal on the fabulous terrace or inside around the large fireplace.
The Refuge de Frience offers a wide range of seasonal menu items as well as traditional Swiss dishes such as cheese crust, open wood-fire raclette and fondue moitié-moitié or with 100% Vacherin.

- by cable car from Barboleuse to Les Chaux, then a 3 km hiking trail to Frience
