The Star Train runs from Vevey to Les Pléiades. A popular resort with people who enjoy active holidays and families, Les Pléiades offers a whole host of activities, in summer and winter, starting with its famous Astropléiades Trail, teaching you all about astronomy.
Departing from Vevey, the Star Train climbs 1,000 metres to Les Pléiades with its many activities and spectacular views.
The climb is steep and, departing at hourly intervals every day, the train uses a cog wheel system on certain sections.
The Star Train stops at St-Légier, Blonay or Les Pléiades, passing through fields of narcissi and meadow pastures, with breathtaking views of Lake Geneva and Les Rochers-de-Naye.
Les Pléiades is a popular destination with sports enthusiasts: skiers and snow-shoers in winter, paragliders, mountain bikers and walkers in the summer. Given its name, Les Pléiades was the ideal place for the Astropléiades Trail, supported by Claude Nicollier, Switzerland’s first man to go into space.
Restaurants and mountain pasture chalets offer local food and refreshing drinks all year round.
