This unique route is the ideal way to truly experience everything the Swiss Alps have to offer by visiting real mountain villages. The Leysin–Les Mosses, Les Diablerets and Villars-Gryon resorts, playgrounds for sports enthusiasts of all levels, have all the authenticity and family appeal of the Vaudois Alps.
From Aigle, the gateway to the Vaudois Alps, this route – open from May to November – takes you on a detour from the Grand Tour so you can experience everything the mountains have to offer. Before you start climbing, visit the castle and Vine and Wine Museum in Aigle, where you’ll learn to appreciate the wines of Chablais, served in all good restaurants on this alpine detour.
After a climb of a few kilometres, Villars-sur-Ollon and Gryon welcome you to the Vaudois Alps. This stylish resort and rural village combine everything you need for a great stay, with hiking trails and golf course. Further on, in the authentic mountain village of Les Diablerets, visitors can take the cable car to the highest point of the Vaud region: Glacier 3000. The final destination of this alpine detour, Leysin–Les Mosses is known for its nature activities and completely glass revolving restaurant, the Kuklos.
