It takes us first to the village of Cremin, then back to Lucens and its superb gothic and Bernese style castle, and finally between fields and forests to the west of the village.
This 11 km hike can be done in one, two or three stages depending on the time available. The slight difference in altitude (+250 m) does not pose any particular difficulty. The first loop of 6.5 km starts at the Lucens train station in direction of Cremin. All you have to do is follow the "Sentier Aventures" signs that can be found along the entire trail. So, the theme for our walk is set: adventure!
After 45 minutes, we reach a charming little lake in the heart of the forest, the lake of La Taille. Shortly afterwards, we cross the river by a suspension bridge. People prone to vertigo, beware! We continue to the village of Cremin and its pretty Vaudois farms. Back in Lucens, we admire the magnificent Gothic and Bernese style castle, one of the most beautiful in the canton, overlooking the Broye plane. The second loop this time, takes us to the west of the village, passing by the refuge called Les Envers, at the edge of the forest.
After an hour's walk in the shady woods, we reach the hamlet of Ponty and then return to our starting point.
