The canton of Vaud offers many possibilities for cycle tourists and bikepackers. This route passes through the three vineyard regions of the canton of Vaud and will take you two to three days to complete, taking time to stop and visit many points of interest along the way.
From the start in Bex, you can admire the vineyards of the Chablais as you head for Ollon, then Aigle and its magnificent castle which is also the site of the Vineyard Museum. A cycle route then takes you to the shore of Lake Geneva.
Along the lake, two statues will give you an excellent excuse to take a photo break: that of Freddie Mercury in Montreux and that of Charlie Chaplin in Vevey. But the second vineyard region is already on the horizon: Lavaux, with its characteristic terraces that have earned it a place on UNESCO's World Heritage List.
Once back down to the lake, you come to Ouchy. Why not take a break to visit the Olympic Museum? You need to regain your strength before traveling through the third region of vineyards: that of the Côte, which will take you to the end of this itinerary in Nyon.
