More than 400 years after its construction, the Salavaux Castle currently welcomes family meals, meetings and romantic sejourns. Recognisable by its round tower - a vestige of the original building - the charming establishment comprises 17 elegant bedrooms, a restaurant and three meeting rooms. The lovers of good pieces of meat are in seventh heaven. The owner, Raymond Schauss, qualifies himself as "A Beef Refiner". Indeed, he displays patience and all his tender care for his meat which is matured on the bone. Smoked Salmon is another speciallity of the house, to be savoured, of course, with a glass of white wine from the Matthey family at Vallamand, in the wine region of Vully. The Castle is also dedicated to events and organises wine-tasting evenings or thematic meals. The coordinators for the meetings or private parties can rent all or part of the castle for prestigious meetings or unforgettable weddings.
