Located at 1,700 metres in the heart of the Villars-Gryon-Diablerets ski area, the Maison de Montagne de Bretaye has a unique and attractive location. Accessible via the "Bex-Villars-Bretaye" little mountain train, the Maison de Montagne is ideal for groups, schools, families or passing guests.
Summer and winter, the Maison can accommodate up to 110 people, with a choice between rooms with 2 to 6 beds or dormitories with 4 to 22 beds. Each floor has shared showers, washbasins and toilets. For more privacy, you can opt for the 10-bed apartment, divided into 3 bedrooms with kitchen, living room with TV and private shower/toilet. The Restaurant de la Maison de Montagne offers full and half-board to people staying here.
The house was originally called the Maison militaire de Bretaye. Founded by Général Guisan, it accommodated many schools and military groups over dozens of years. It has now been converted into holiday accommodation, while retaining its values based on sharing and accessibility to the mountains for all.
