Regularly renewed, the elegant cuisine is inspired by local produce. The cosy atmosphere and the view of the Alpes Vaudoises puts stars in your eyes. Café des Alpes (12 points in GaultMillau) is a must in the gastronomic offers of the Alpes Vaudoises.
The reopening of the Café des Alpes in December 2018 confirmed that a stop in Gryon was recommended for food enhusiasts.
Since taking over this traditional village café, local Victor Bavaud has modernised the brand, while maintaining the warm atmosphere dear to the inhabitants.
Café des Alpes offers 3 very different options for dining: warm and authentic in the café, more elegant in the restaurant, or contemplative on the terrace, with a magnificent view of the Alpes Vaudoises. The seasonal menu changes at least four times a year thanks to local products.
Café des Alpes has also become a hotspot for hunting specialities - 100% Swiss meat, an increasingly rare specialty!
Variations according to the seasons are on offer: fish from Lake Geneva, Swiss mountain veal chops cut in the dining room, black leg chicken from Gruyère (on reservation). These regional dishes remain emblematic of the delicious cuisine of Café des Alpes.
Tasting weeks, with various themes, are occasionally on offer.
Café des Alpes can also be privatised for events.
