Departing from Vevey, the funicular takes passengers through the landscape of Lavaux, a terraced vineyard listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. An 11-minute ascent overlooking the lake, with stops in the charming wine villages of Corseaux and Chardonne, before stopping at the foot of Mont Pèlerin.
The 11-minute funicular ride takes passengers up above Vevey, far from the bustle of city life. Passengers pass through vineyards and fields to reach their destination: the iconic mountain above Vevey and Lake Geneva. Mont-Pèlerin features a 5-star hotel, the Mirador Resort & Spa (with its own panoramic terrace), and is an excellent starting-point for hikes. And on your way down, stopping off at the winemaking village of Chardonne to taste the local wines is an absolute must!
