In the heart of the village of Epesses, the Rouge family offers this new place where you can have a gourmet break. Enjoy the beautiful Lavaux vineyard with a coffee, a glass of wine or a small dish.
The idea came about a long time ago and the Rouge family made it happen in 2015, opening the Verre Gourmand. Winegrowers in Epesses, like their ancestors since the 16th century, Philippe and Fatima Rouge wanted to add something extra to their three hectare domain by opening a café.
Brand new, the Verre Gourmand allows you to taste the family wines, as well as other wines from the region. The manageress, Fatima Rouge, also offers light meals in her establishment in the centre of the village. The many walkers passing through Epesses mix with the village inhabitants in the warm atmosphere of this café.
