Seemingly alone in the world, immersed in a lush green alpine setting, hikers are in for an almost surreal experience on their trek to Lake Segray. Located between Leysin and Les Mosses and accessible only on foot, peace and tranquillity are assured on this scenic hiking trail.
Leysin’s « At the foot of the Peaks » trail takes hikers into the heart of nature and incorporates three mountain lakes : Aï, Mayen and of course the idyllic Lake Segray where the trail reaches its climax.
Climbing enthusiasts are also catered for here. Numerous equipped climbing routes for all levels are located in the Segray region. Rock faces offer plenty of holds and a great variety of climbs suitable for beginners and families. Base camp is well appointed and the view from the top is simply magnificent.
The hike can be extended to take in Les Fers Restaurant in the mountains above Leysin or the Pierre du Moëllé Restaurant. Both establishments are reachable by car so visitors who cannot manage the walk can still enjoy the perfect peace of a sundrenched terrace.
