Come and cheer on these young champions in this Swiss stage race!

The Tour du Pays de Vaud is an international stage race for juniors and one of the most important on the UCI calendar for this category.

A brief history
Created in 1967 by the Association cycliste vaudoise, it was originally intended to offer young Swiss riders from the cantonal associations the opportunity to take part in a stage race in order to progress and establish themselves. Over the years, foreign participation has become increasingly important, and many future professional champions have taken part in the TPV and learned their trade there.

Promoted to the Nations Cup circuit in 2015, it is now open only to the 25 best national teams in the world.

The race
The race starts in Ollon, at Perrosalle, and the riders will arrive at the Place du Rendez-vous in Villars.

Practical information

ROAD CLOSURES

- The Ollon - Villars road will be closed to traffic between 3.45pm and 5pm. The road is closed from the BP petrol station roundabout in Ollon to Place du Rendez-vous in Villars on the main road.
- In Villars, anyone wishing to drive their vehicle at these times must go via Villars - Barboleuse - Gryon - Bex. Vehicles coming from the Col de la Croix can go as far as the centre of Villars and cross it without any problem in the direction of Gryon - Bex. With regard to the work on the Villars - Barboleuse bridge, it is possible to travel with one's vehicle, by bike and on foot. A replacement bus (Villars Gare - Barboleuse) will be provided as the train will not be running between 27 May and 7 July.
- It is not possible to cross the village of Ollon from top to bottom during these hours. As the event will also be taking place between St-Triphon - Aigle - Vionnaz and Roche, we advise residents of Ollon not to plan a car journey between 2.15pm and 5pm in these directions.

PUBLIC TRANSPORT

- 144 Aigle - Villars-sur-Ollon / 145 Aigle - Ollon - Panex & Panex - Plambuit - Villars - Alpe des Chaux TPC: the "Villars-sur-Ollon Rte du Roc" stop will not be served all day on Saturday 25 May 2024.
- In general: Due to the Tour du Pays de Vaud, road traffic will be disrupted between 14:00 and 17:00 on Saturday 25 May 2024. During this period, delays are to be expected and connections will not be guaranteed. Thank you for your understanding. Timetable available online at tpc.ch or cff.ch.
