In one of the most beautiful villages of Switzerland, a dozen wine makers offer wine tastings.
A long-time jewel of Lavaux, St-Saphorin is one of the most beautiful villages in Switzerland. Its emblematic Church is classified of national historic importance. Built of stone houses with several floors, the town is well located between Lake Geneva, the Alps and the Lavaux vineyards, registered on the UNESCO World Heritage list.
Of these vines terraces, St-Saphorin producers know how to get the best nectar from these terraces of vines, including the dry mineral white wine, Chasselas. In order to enjoy tasting them in front of their creator, the cellar of the St-Saphorin wine makers offers tastings from May to November, every Friday and Saturday from 5pm to 8pm. Around ten wine makers from the St-Saphorin appellation follow one another each weekend to present their wines.
To complete the wine tasting, wine tourists enjoy a guided tour of the village and a ride on the Lavaux-Panoramic tourist train which travels through the terraces of vines.
Open from mid-April to October, Friday to Sunday, from 4pm to 7pm.
