Developed by the Swiss association “A voice for quality”, the exhibition titled “Découvrir le Monde” (the discovery of the world) can be visited until 6 January 2019 at the Musée de la main (hand museum) in Lausanne before it moves to St. Gallen
It focuses on the topic of up to which point the first years of life are a determining factor in the children’s later development, and is strictly experience oriented. At a very early age, the children’s personal development is based on the elements of exploration and play. Thanks to its playful scenography, the exhibition shows how the little ones acquaint themselves with their environment and discusses different points of view about their development.
It also presents relevant and innovative projects as well as information on current issues. The best way to visit the exhibition is with the whole family: the smaller children can play and build things while the adults listen to recordings of specialist talks or watch videos about child development. Everyone can thus profit from this outing.
The Musée de la main was established more than 20 years ago, based on the collaboration between the Claude Verdan foundation and the Lausanne University and University Hospital. It is dedicated to the investigation of important scientific, medical, and social present day topics.
