This year, the Gault&Millau has 101 Vaud restaurants listed with a total of 1423 points. At the restaurant “Hôtel de Ville” in Crissier near Lausanne, Franck Giovannini is the fourth celebrity chef in a row to manage the restaurant’s excellent cuisine, proving his success with 19 Gault&Millau points as well as 3 Michelin stars for 2019. In Bex, the restaurant “Café Suisse” won two more points in the Gault&Millau, and its young chef Marie Robert who is only 30 years old also walked away with the prestigious title of “Swiss Chef of the Year 2019ˮ in her pocket. Furthermore, 14 new establishments from the Canton of Vaud are now listed in the guide, and 10 restaurants were able to get a higher classification in the Gault&Millau.
