The Cully Jazz Festival is a major spring event in the Lavaux region, bringing together the great names of jazz and young artists to the delight of music lovers.
The 39th edition of the Cully Jazz Festival will take place from 1 to 9 April 2022 and is aimed at both jazz lovers and the uninitiated. The festival is the leading musical event of the spring in French-speaking Switzerland. Over a period of nine days, big names in jazz and young talent come together in the small winegrowing village to delight locals and day visitors alike. The festival’s unique atmosphere attracts large audiences with its the three main stages, fifteen or so side stages and numerous cellars and cafés throughout the village.
The first artists for the upcoming edition have already been announced, with three headliners that stand out in particular: the Tigran Hamasyan trio “The Call Within” will take festival-goers into a dreamlike world with a blend of rock, poetry and groove. Then comes the Youn Sun Nah Quartet with its new album and its conscious balance of excess and high sensitivity. Finally, Richard Galliano will delight the curious with his mix of New Tango and New Musette, strongly reminiscent of the Roaring Twenties. Festival-goers will be able to immerse themselves in his danceable rhythms, strong melodies and sophisticated harmonies.
More headliners will be revealed on 15 February 2022 to complete the festival programme. Tickets for the 39th edition are already available from the Cully Jazz Festival website
