Based on a number of criteria, the WWF ranking of the most sustainable universities places Lausanne in second place just after Zurich (EPFZ) and before Bern.
According to a ranking by the WWF, UNIL comes in second place in terms of sustainability. With a score of 88.17 points out of a total of 100, the university is just behind ETH Zurich (89.92 points) and ahead of the University of Bern (87.92 points).
The aim of this ranking is to highlight the importance of sustainability in education, research and innovation, and also to encourage universities to do more in this area. The rankings are based on a range of criteria defined the WWF, including sustainability strategy, student and teacher involvement and the resources made available to implement the relevant measures.
