The charming villages, the terraced vineyards of Lavaux UNESCO and especially the Montreux Music & Convention Centre are dream venues for many events.
Since the foundation of the famous Montreux Jazz Festival more than 50 years ago, the region has transformed into the Swiss capital of music each summer. The influence of the vineyards of Lavaux UNESCO and the region’s great Chefs also contribute to developing the traditional and gourmet events on offer, such as the legendary winegrowers’ festival. The vast Montreux Music & Convention Centre accommodates various events, whereas Montreux Noël immerses the town in the magic of Christmas throughout one month in winter.

Montreux Comedy Festival
The largest French-speaking comedy festival welcomes both the stars of the genre and new talents during hilarious Galas! Something to warm up at the beginning of winter. But beware, although the Montreux Comedy will keep its famous name, it is in Lausanne that the next two seasons will take place! Due to the works at the 2m2c, the festival is moved to the Beaulieu Theatre for 2023 and 2024.

Christmas in Montreux
Classified as one of the most beautiful in Europe, the Montreux Christmas Market brings each year an extra touch of magic under the palm trees of the Riviera. For a month, the lake shores welcome more than 170 merchants, craftsmen and restaurant owners installed in illuminated chalets. An enchantment for young and old, especially when Santa Claus flies over the area in his sleigh (every day at 5, 6 and 7 pm, as well as at 4 pm on Saturdays)!

Biennale Images Vevey
Free of charge, Festival Images is both an authentic open-air museum and a high-quality platform for Swiss and international artists. It gained instant renown and recognition due to the monumental photographs displayed in Vevey. It runs a competition with a prize awarded to the winner – the Grand Prix International de Photographie de Vevey.
