At the gateway to the Vaud and Valais regions, Lavey-les-Bains is known throughout Switzerland for its thermal spring, the hottest in the country. What better way to start your Grand Tour of Switzerland than by relaxing in these beneficial waters surrounded by mountains views? From here, drive to the Bex Salt Mines and dive into another experience, this time underground. Take the whole family on an adventure on board the little mine train.
The rest of the route takes you through the exceptional scenery of the Chablais wine-making region with its vines and mountains. Half-way along, the town of Aigle has a whole host of tourist activities to suit everyone. Wine enthusiasts can stop at the castle and visit the Vine and Wine Museum there. When the expanse of Lake Geneva comes into view, you’ve reached your destination, the delightful lakeside town of Villeneuve.
