Situated at Chabrey, on the north slope of Vully, the cellar of "La Côte aux Moines" is managed by Mary-Christine Christinat. The wine-grower makes the traditional variety of wines of the region as well as some specialities. The “old vine” Chasselas and the “old vine” Gamay are, for example, discoveries for those who do not know these wines, the characters of which are derived from the advanced age of the vine variety. A fruity white wine, the Doral is also more anecdotal in the region. As to the lovers of strong wines, they will be seduced by the Reserve des Moines, a blending of red vines matured in oak barrels.
Every Saturday morning, or on request for groups of up to 30 persons, Mary-Christine opens her wine-tasting place. A friendly place where buyers can taste the wines before choosing, while enjoying the Vully cake, the creamy speciality of the region.
