If the Chasselas, the leading variety of vine in the Vaud Canton, represents about one third of the production of the Gentizon family at the "Cave de Marnes", the estate of 8 hectares has been diversified and now cultivates about ten different varieties of vines. Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, Traminer for white wines, Oeil de Perdrix Rosé, as well as Garanoir, Gamaret, Pinot Noir and Merlot, for the reds complete the range. The white specialities "Blanc de Merlot" and "Aphrodite", as well as the blending of the reds "Dionysos" and "Apollon" also make the wine-producing family proud.
With the opening of a new cellar, a friendly wine bar has found its place in the former vat room. Regular clients and new friends meet there on Saturday mornings or for special tastings, during which the family always prepare the traditional Vully cake to share with their customers.
