Balloon Flights

Known around the world for the International Balloon Festival, Château-d’Œx is the ideal spot to take your first flight in a hot air balloon. SkyEvent SA organises flights every day of the year (mornings), taking off from the launch site at the entrance to the village.

Ideal for individuals, groups, families and friends, as long as weather conditions allow. The magic starts when you climb into the basket.

Once the balloon is inflated it rises into the sky, light as a feather, majestic views will begin to unfold before you after just a few minutes.

Suspended in the air in the most absolute calm, you can admire the panorama of the Alps: from Mont-Blanc to the Eiger, from the Grand-Combin to the Matterhorn and the Jura, not forgetting the regions of Lake Geneva and Fribourg.

At the end of the adventure, after the balloon has landed and been packed away, you will receive a flight certificate and share a friendship drink with some local products.

From May to the end of October, we offer evening flights. The take-off is near the Ecuvillens aerodrome. Up in the air, you will have a fantastic view over the Swiss Plateau, the Alps, the Romont Castle, the beautiful city of Fribourg, the region of Lake Gruyère and its Castles.

On the ground, you will also be able to appreciate the sunset while having a toast and our best local products from the Pays-d’Enhaut.
