Domaine de Verex, which is also an orchard, makes eco-friendly wine that is certified by the VINATURA® label. The contiguous vineyards opposite Lake Geneva and the Alps surround a building dating from 1767, which regularly hosts tastings.
A magnificent panorama unfolds from the top of the Verex vineyards: From there, you can see the lake, the mountains but also the estate’s entire expanse of 54 acres. The buildings from the 18th century are surrounded by apple orchards and vineyards. Domaine de Verex has been owned by the Perrot family since 1887. It can rely on Florian Widmer's passion to produce its wines. Among them are famous Chasselas, which is regularly awarded the “Golden Laurels” Vaudois wine label. Pinot Gris as well as red grape varieties such as Gamay, Pinot Noir, Gamaret and Garanoir complete the offer. There is also unfiltered Chasselas, which is becoming increasingly popular. All these vintages are produced in accordance with the goals of the VINATURA ® label, a registered trademark of the VITISWISS Federation.
Every Saturday morning or by advance booking, visitors can discover the wines at the same time as an impressive cellar filled with oak barrels, including some ancient ones. As a witness of the past, wine presses are still on display, too. Each year in May, Domaine de Verex opens its doors to offer wine tastings enhanced by local products. The will to combine regional specialties naturally led to Domaine de Verex becoming part of the Vaud Œnotourisme network of certified producers.
