The National FM, the flagship event celebrating Franches-Montagnes horses, features dressage, driving, jumping and much more.
The National FM is an annual equestrian event held at the Swiss National Stud in Avenches. It celebrates the Franches-Montagnes breed, the only horse of Swiss origin, through a variety of sporting and breeding competitions. Over the weekend in September, more than 500 horses take part in dressage, show jumping, driving and breeding championships. This event brings together equestrian enthusiasts, breeders and amateurs to promote this emblematic breed.
The magnificent site of the Swiss National Stud hosts the event. The national foal auction and stallion parade complete the programme.
