Much of the route to Aigle is lined with vineyards. On the way, it's well worth making a detour to the well-known salt mines in Bex, an extensive cave system. The section ends at Aigle, the starting point of the tour.
The final stage of the Vaud Alps tour starts in Gryon. This town is surrounded by some of the most attractive Alpine peaks such as the Muveran and the Miroir d’Argentine. A large part of the trail to Aigle, the destination for this stage, leads through vineyards.
