Anne-Catherine and Sébastien Ruchonnet are the descendants of a long line of winemakers and growers in Rivaz, in the heart of the Lavaux UNESCO region. Their ancestors were already growing vines there in 1450! This winegrowing family grows their vines in an area of around 4 ha, in the St-Saphorin and Dézaley Grand Cru AOC appellations. In accordance with their values and respecting nature, they manually work the vines, following PER ecological standards.
The range of wines from the Vieux Pressoir Cellar reflects the love affairs between Lavaux winegrowers and white wines, in particular Chasselas. Four of the ten “crus” produced in Lavaux are Chasselas and three are white specialities. A rosé, a Pinot Noir-Gamay, a red blend in oak barrels and three brandies complete the collection. To taste them, the Ruchonnet family will be happy to organise a meeting for up to twelve people in their cellar and even walks among the vines, on request.
