Overlooking Lake Geneva, Chexbres is a wine growing village which offers many different walks. How nice to follow the trails in the Lavaux UNESCO vineyards, which go down to the lake! A tourist information centre (open 6 days a week in summer and 5 days a week during the off peak season) is also at your disposal in the train station.
You can reach the Chexbres-Village station - not to be confused with the Puidoux-Chexbres station – by train every hour from Vevey. Visitors arriving by car can find parking spaces in the station, for 1 franc/hour for up to 5 hours from Monday to saturday, 7am to 7pm. Evenings and Sunday are free!
For those on the wine walk, this is where the discovery begins! Before starting, check that your smartphone is loaded (or try to get a charger), take walking shoes and a waterbottle. Enjoy the stroll!
