The Spartan, an international obstacle race, will take place on the crests of the Jura on 11 June 2022. This event is intended for both adults and children.
On Saturday 11 June, the north of Vaud will play host to the Spartan, the world’s leading obstacle race, in Saint-Croix/Les Rasses.
The athletes will be confronted with a series of obstacles (climbing wall, nets, barbed wire, fire, sandbagging, etc.) on the unique terrain of the Jura ridges. Two distances characteristic of the franchise will be featured on the Balcon du Jura – the “SPRINT” on a course of approximately 5 kilometres with 20 obstacles, and the “SUPER” on a course of around 10 kilometres with 25 obstacles. A course designed specifically for children will also be included in the event.
Organised in Switzerland by Gorilla Corporation Sàrl and XChange Sport and Event AG, this international sports event was created by and is coordinated at the regional level by the association for the development of northern Vaud (ADNV) and the municipality of Sainte-Croix.
